Dan joined the Kern Group, a second generation Baird practice, as a Financial Advisor in 2006. He partnered with his father Ted Kern, who spent 28 years with Baird, before retiring in 2010. Prior to joining Baird, Dan worked as a Paraplanner for Ameriprise Financial in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Dan holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. In addition, Dan completed the Certificate Program for Financial Planning at DePaul University. He has also earned the title, “Senior Investment Consultant”, a Baird program held at the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business, by completing a multiple day course of study focusing on the investment and retirement needs of clients. In his practice at Baird, Dan has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Milwaukee Magazine and was recognized by FORBES as one of America’s Top Next-Gen Best In State Advisors.

Dan is an active community leader as past president and Board Member of Slinger High School’s Honours Inc., volunteers in his Church and children's school, and coaches little league. He and his wife, Abby, live in Slinger and have two children, daughter, Michaela and son, Teddy. In addition to spending time with his family, Dan enjoys playing golf, hunting and fishing, cooking, and spending time “up north”.

Established in 1929 as a "Members Only Club", we are located in Richfield, Wisconsin, 5 miles west of Highway 41/45 on Highway 167. We have over 300 acres of land devoted to wildlife conservation, nature trails, scout grounds, fishing ponds, and shooting ranges.

A FAMILY TRADITION

The Zimmerman Family

Our Founder Don Zimmermann was a carpenter by trade. His extensive background was in construction, building, and grading. He completed numerous land development projects and constructed many diverse area businesses. He loved working outside and building was his passion. Together with his wife Ruby, they decided to build a golf course in their hometown of Richfield Wisconsin. You can see Don’s rustic wood-working in the clubhouse, which is a piece of him living on at the course. The lumber in the building was sawed on his own sawmills. With the help of their children; Brian, Dwight, Michele and Scott; Don & Ruby laid out the groundwork for what we know now as Zimmermann’s Kettle Hills Golf Course.

The tradition of a family owned and operated course continues with Don and Ruby’s sons, Brian and Dwight, taking the reins in 2013.

Our History

With a devotion to customer service Hahn’s Water Well Pump Service is quickly becoming the go to company for any well system repairs, maintenance, and inspections. Mike and Gloria Hahn purchased the company in the spring of 1998. Although their son Ben Hahn has been involved with the company since it was purchased in 1998, he started working full time for the company in 2010. In November of 2014 Mike passed away unexpectedly. Shortly after this Ben purchased the company and has been continuing to uphold the high standards of service that our company is known for.

Richfield Service Inc. was started in 1972 by Philip Sr and Donna Thoma. Richfield Service Inc. was a small Farming community in Washington County Wisconsin. Philip Sr was known for his love of the community as he was involved in the Richfield Service Inc. Lions club. In the beginning Philip Sr and Donna repaired cars, trucks, sold cars and rented cars. As Philp Sr and Donna's children grew there were two of the 5 children stayed in the business (Karen and Philip Jr). Michelle DeFere - I am a board certified chiropractor and have owned and operated Hubertus Chiropractic since 1988.

A bad fall that left me with an injured back and two broken wrists and elbows also led me towards a new future. Learning the benefits of surgery and drug-free health care first hand, I decided to pursue a career in the field. After graduating from UW-Madison, I spent four years studying at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I also took part in more detailed post education in related topics like nutrition, radiology, chiropractic technique and business. My numerous diplomas and certificates can be found framed on the walls of our examination room.

Though our facility appears small from the outside, the Center extends a long way back on the inside. It includes separate rooms for x-ray, examinations, adjustments and massage therapy.
